Tackle terrorism with spiritualism, said Pujya Bhaishri during Kolkata katha
A Ramacharit Manas Katha was organized in Kolkata from 19th to 27th January, 2003. It was hosted by Shri Milapji Duggad under the auspices of “Gau Seva Foundation”. The proceeds from this katha would be utilized for the benefit of cows affected by famine.
The Governor of Uttar Pradesh, His Excellency Shri Vishnuprasad Shastri graced the inauguration of the katha. Speaking on the occasion he quoted Tulsidasji saying “Binu satsqang vivek na hoi, Ram kripa binu sulabh na soi” i.e. One cannot develop discretionary faculties without listening to the wise words of holy people and the occasion and opportunity of hearing the wise words of holy people comes only by the grace of Lord Ram.
On the second day the Honorable Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Ashok Gehlot came to hear Bhaishri narrate the Ram katha. The katha was being recorded by the Sanskaar channel and was being telecast on the subsequent day. Viewers all over the country got the benefit to listen to this divine katha and were truly over whelmed.
Pujya Bhaishri offered his shraddhanjali to the celebrated poet late Shri Harivanshrai Bachchan by reciting extensively poems from his famous collection Madhushala.
Ram janma was celebrated with great fanfare on the fourth day when cribs of Shri Ram were displayed. Next day Ram-Vivaha was celebrated. Flag hoisting ceremony was performed on 26th Jan. before commencing the katha for the day. Speaking on this occasion Pujya Bhaishri said, “India is a country which has the wealth of deep spiritual truths combined with the lofty ideals soaring matching the heights of the Himalayas. With the mission of narrating kathas of Ramcharit Manas and Shrimad Bhagwat I have toured the entire world, but have not found any country that could compare with India.”
On the concluding day, 27th of January, Pujya Bhaishri gave the message of tackling terrorism with spiritualism saying that spiritualism wipes out all feelings of differences and discriminations through propagation of universal love.
