Varanasi Offers Its Prayers To Lord Shiv during Shivratri Through A Majestic Musical Festival
This year, a magnificent musical festival was organised in Varanasi on 2nd and 3rd March 2011 in the presence of Pujya Bhaishri, to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. The festival was held at Shri Hanumanprasad Podar Andha Vidyalay and organised under the auspices of Seth Kishorilal Jalan Seva Trust.
On 2nd March, the following artists presented their respective talents at the lotus feet of Lord Shiv: classical singing by Shri Ganesh Mishra of Varanasi, Kathak dance by Sushri Rujuta Soman, sitar playing by Chirag Kutty of Mumbai and Shri Chikku Vinayakji of Chennai presented his proficiency in playing the instrument ghatam.
On 3rd March, the following gracious talents were exhibited by their respective performers: devotional singing by Shri Bhagirath Jalan of Varanasi, tabla playing by Shri Adityakumar Mishra of Varanasi, majestic playing of the flute by Shri Rakesh Chaurasia of Mumbai and classical singing by Shri Ratanmohan Sharma of Mumbai.
The artists and people of Varanasi celebrated Maha Shivratri with great enthusiasm and joy in the divine presence of Pujya Bhaishri.
