A Three Day Discourse By Pujya Bhaishri On The Dasham Skandh of Shrimad Bhagavat Katha Illuminating Shri Bal Krishna Leela In New Jersey, USA

Shri Sanatan Mandir in Parsippany, New Jersey, USA, organised a three day discourse by Pujya Bhaishri on Dasham Skandh (tenth canto) of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha from 1st July to 3rd July 2011. Shri Sanatan Mandir sponsored this divine event to enlighten the community with the teachings of Shrimad Bhagavat and to raise funds for the temple’s growth and improvement construction project. Drs. Navinbhai and Rashmiben Mehta were the chief hosts of this katha.
The pearls of wisdom that Pujya Bhaishri shared during the four hour sessions enlightened over a thousand devotees daily who attended the event. He elucidated the significance of the epic stories of Shri Krishna’s childhood years and its application to our current lives in such a way that people of all ages could relate to and understand.
The spellbound audience learnt how Lord Krishna used his progressive and unconventional thinking power to neutralize the wrath of Lord Indra and his strength to free the world from demons like Aghasur. The discourse also highlighted the importance of humility, patience, and sensitivity towards fellow human beings while living a simple life filled with devotion.
The devotees were left mesmerised by Pujya Bhaishri’s bhakti sangeet and his precious words which brought a new meaning to the listeners’ lives.
In addition to the katha, young students from Shri Sanatan Mandir School presented what they have been learning at school. Shri Sanatan Mandir operates one of the oldest temple-based schools teaching culture, religion, arts & crafts as well as Gujarati and Hindi languages. The students sang prarthanas and slokas and staged a skit depicting Shri Bal Krishna’s encounter with Kaliya Naag. Pujya Bhaishri and the audience thoroughly enjoyed the presentation.

Pujya Bhaishri has blessed devotees of Shri Sanatan Mandir in New Jersey with his annual visits, but this three day event on Shri Bal Krishna leela in 2011 left an indelible mark.
