Active members of Sanskruti Parivar centres of South Gujarat convene to discuss progress under the auspices of Pujya Bhaishri

A get-together and an intensive workshop under the guidance of Pujya Bhaishri was held on 30th Dec. 2003 for active members of South Gujarat (Surat, Vadodara, Vyara, Valsad, Rajpipala and Bharuch) at Ambaniketan Satsang Hall, Surat.

Shri Bharatbhai of Surat Sanskruti Parivar welcomed all the participants followed by Ganesh stuti and bhajans. Senior member of Vyara Sanskruti Parivar Shri Girishbhai Dave began the proceedings of the workshop.

Shri Bharatbhai of Surat, Shri Purushottambhai Panchal of Vadodara, Kum. Narayaniben Pandya of Rajpipala, Kum. Dharmishthaben Rana of Bharuch and Shrimati Jayaben Mistri and Shrimati Kailasben Mistri of Valsad presented the report of various activities undertaken by their respective groups and the problems faced by them.

Vyara Sanskruti Parivar being most active was represented by eight members who submitted a detailed report of activities being conducted under their supervision. Shrimati Dhanuben Harijan who along with her husband is resisting the conversion activities in the adivasi areas of Vyara, gave an interesting report of their experiences. Both Smt. Dhanuben and her husband are retired teachers of Vyara.

Speaking on the occasion Pujya Bhaishri said, “Sanskruti Parivar is a family of sadhaks. God remains the focus of all its activities. All efforts of Sanskruti Parivar are aimed at improving not others but themselves.” As part of this effort of self-improvement he advised recitation of the 12th chapter of Shrimad Bhagwat as a mantra for guiding their spiritual journey. He described the following to be the five important constituents of Sanskruti Parivar’s activities. 1) Sadhak 2) Sevak 3) Activities of the Center 4) Convener and 5) Patron

Pujya Bhaishri also made a few suggestions for new activities to be taken up by Sanskruti Parivars:

1) Collective recitations of Sunder Kanda and chapters of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita with the help and guidance of Sanskrit teachers.
2) Starting Bal Sahitya Seva for children.
3) Begin study circles
4) Promote periodicals and publications published by the Sat Sahitya Prakashan Trust
5) Ensure that various government aids reach the needy people with the help of retired government officials.

Pujya Bhaishri also approved Kum. Narainiben’s suggestion of motivating volunteers to fulfill various small needs and errands for the aged. In order to create funds required by all Sanskruti Kendras Pujya Bhaishri advised that each member of the family should put aside daily one rupee and thereby save and collect funds.

It was decided that the next regional camp of Sanskruti Parivar will be hosted by Vyara and Shri Girishbhai Dave was appointed its Convener.
