Bhagwat katha flows to Dhoraji, Gujarat, India

“God has given us money as the means of achieving our well being. It should not be made as the goal of life. Instead it should be used as the means for serving other people,” said Pujya Bhaishri while speaking at his Bhagwat katha held at Dhoraji a town in Gujarat. Pujya Bhaishri continued to say, “Unfortunately people do not understand the Truth. The Truth is that objects are meant to be utilised, not people and people are meant to be loved, not utilised. But we reverse the roles of people and money. We start loving money which is meant to be used and enjoyed and often use people who are meant to be loved. When this happens incidents like heart-break, breach of trust etc. occur which gives rise to conflict and fights, situations which are harmful for the society.”

“Shrimad Bhagwat guides us in such matters too i.e. it teaches us what is meant to be used and what or whom should we love. Bhagwat not only teaches us about religion, devotion, sadhana, etc. These matters are of higher levels. Though they are important, endeavours for them rest on the foundation of a contented and peaceful social life. Therefore Shrimad Bhagwat also guides us in social matters. Because until we tackle social problems, how will we achieve spiritual heights? Thus Shrimad Bhagwat offers solutions for all problems in our life.”

The Bhagwat katha at Dhoraji was held from 17th to 24th January 2005 organised by “Shri Krishna Lok Kalyan Trust”. The main aim of this trust is to serve the Gau-mata, cow and ensure its good health and care. The audience very enthusiastically participated in the celebrations of all important occasions such as Shri Krishna Pragatya, Shri Govardhan Utsav, Shri Rukmini Vivah, etc.
