Devothhan Ekadashi, Ayodhya Verdict and Self-study – Days 3 and 4 Junamaka Katha

On day 3 of Patan Katha, being the auspicious occasion of Devotthan Ekadashi, Pujya Bhaishri explained the significance of this Ekadashi. He also explained regarding the journey to oneself. On day 4, Pujya Bhaishri provided a message on peace further to the Ayodhya Court Verdict.

Pujya Bhaishri said that the main message from Devotthan Ekadashi is to awaken the divine qualities within one. Scriptures and our Rishis have showered great grace upon us such that whenever the divinity within us falls asleep and demonic traits dictate, then such festivals and fasts arrive. These festivals and fasts then re-raise the awareness of the divinity within us.

The aim of Devothhan Ekadashi is not just to fast and stay away from food, but to remain insentient and awaken the dormant divinity within us. Let the spirit of performing virtuous actions and walking on the path of Truth awaken. This is true awakening.

Narayan means Dharma; Let Dharma rise within us. Narayan rising in Vaikunth is indeed very important but let us pray to him to also awaken within our heart in the form of Vaikunth.

Being established in one’s true Self is the true joy. All other forms of joy are the means and not the end. Do not confuse the means for the goal. Wealth, homes, cars etc are all means to one end:  happiness.

Watch this video clip from day 4 on Pujya Bhaishri’s message on peace on the Ayodhya court verdict. Pujya Bhaishri said that the Highest Truth is One known by different names. Worship is the connection to both Allah and Ram. May we now transition from conflict to worship at Ayodhya. May all Indians remain united, peaceful and harmonious. May we work together in a sportsman spirit and stay calm. There is no cause for inebriation as we celebrate a solution to this long-standing conflict and proceed once again towards worship.
