From 5th – 7th October 2007, Pujya Bhaishri addressed a gathering of about 1500 to 2000 people at Mahalaxmi temple of Kolkata, a three day discourse hosted by Shri R.P. Goenkaji.

On commencing the sermon, Pujya Bhaishri humorously commented that just like in cricket where the game started of with 5 days tests, then shortened to one day games and currently is being played as Twenty-20 sessions, similarly, the duration of Satsang is also getting shorter and shorter.

Pujya Bhaishri spoke on the topic “Ek ghadi, aadhi ghadi, aadhi mein punee aadhi”. Elucidating upon this famous part of a couplet from the Ramacharit manas, Pujya Bhaishri explained how a brief encounter of even a second with a realized soul brings about our spiritual emancipation by eliminating our countless sins. Just as food does not provide nourishment without ghee similarly, life without Satsang does not bear any spiritual fruit.
