Shri Ram Katha by Pujya Bhaishri was organised on the island of Bali in Indonesia from 12th November to 20th November 2018. The Katha was organised with sight-seeing in order to unite with nature. The hosts of the Katha were Shri Pramod Kumar Pandey and Shrimati Savitaben Pandey.

 

83% of the population in Bali are Hindus who have maintained the values of Ramayan and Mahabharat. These scriptures are well portrayed through drama, theatrical plays and sculptures. The Indeniadian Sita and Ram as well as Balinese Ramayan were presented majestically on one of the days in a Ramayan show by the Balinese people. Great shows were also enjoyed by all during the day of Sitaram Vivah.

  

On the first day, the kindling of the auspicious lamp was carried out by the Indian Embassy Consulate, General Shri Sunil Babu, The Collector of Indian Cultural Centre of Indonesia, Shri Manohar Puriji, the Chief Hindu Priest, Ida Bagawan Sucitte as well as the host family. Pujya Bhaishri and Shri Ram Chait Manas were welcomed with a cultural dance by Balinese people.

Pujya Bhaishri talked about the ocean in Bali and how our scriptures consider the ocean as demi-god as well as praised Bali and its people. Watch this video from day 5:

The Katha was attended by many overseas people from India, Australia and UK. It was indeed an experience enjoyed by all.
