Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Gyan Yoga – An insight into the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita by Pujya Bhaishri on the occasion of Gita Jayanti

A Very Happy Gita Jayanti to you all!
Let us celebrate this auspicious day by singing along and listening to some short videos on the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita by Pujya Bhaishri and therefore enlightening our souls. Most of the videos have a translator speaking in English alongside Pujya Bhaishri.
The first clip begins with a prayer, dhun and stuti in the end, the meaning of which has been explained in English.
In this Video 1, Pujya Bhaishri explains the importance of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. He explains the answers to the following questions:
* What does the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita teach us?
* What is life about?
* What does Lord Shri Krishna’s life teach us?

Eight chapters in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita are based on Gyan maarg (the path of knowledge). Video 2 is a brief insight of this path where Pujya Bhaishri describes the reason why an individual is unhappy.

Video clips 3, 4a, 4b and 5 are detailed on the eight chapters of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita on karma maarg (the path of action).

In Video 3, Pujya Bhaishri explains the importance of controlling our minds.

Thereafter, in Video 4a, he enlightens us on the following:
* Is salvation only after death?
* Who are our major enemies in life?

Hard work + grace of God = victory. This and the importance of controlling our minds on being praised or insulted is elucidated in Video 4b

What is Dharma? How do we define a Yagya? Is Yagya a fire sacrifice only? Let us enlighten ourselves with this knowledge from Video 5

This nicely leads us to the other eight chapters of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita on Bhakti maarg (the path of devotion). The Video 7 highlights only the beginning of the basics of Bhakti maarg on whether it is possible to experience God.

Finally, let us all join in to sing the divine Hare Krishna Hare Ram kirtan by Pujya Bhaishri after a brief explanation of why and how we should perform our actions in Video 6.

We hope you have gained and enjoyed the flavour of the insights of the three sections of the song sung by Lord Shri Krishna himself.

Jai Shri Krishna.
