Pujya Bhaishri’s message on the occasion of laying the Ram Mandir foundation stone in Ayodhya | श्रीराममंदिर के शिलान्यास की सब को बधाई

On the occasion of the foundation stone being laid for the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, Pujya Bhaishri performed a divine tilak ceremony on Lord Ram at Shri Hari Mandir, followed by joyous singing of Lord Ram’s name.

Providing his message on various platforms, Pujya Bhaishri stated that laying the Ram Mandir foundation stone was a moment of glory and pride not only for Hindus but for all Indians. On 5^th August, the construction work of the magnificent temple of Shri Ram commenced in Ayodhya on the sacred land of Lord Ram’s birth. The foundation stone was laid by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Many distinguished monks and saints graced the occasion.

We have all awaited this occasion for many years. Looking back at history, the sacred land of Lord Ram’s birth had been under attack since as far back as 1528, and the Mosque had been built there. The structure was constructed in the name of Babar and from then on, the conflict ensued. In the years that followed, many have laid down their lives for this cause. Many religious Hindus have carried out plenty of movements to voice their mandate on the issue and finally an important decision directing the commencement of building the temple was taken by the Honourable Supreme Court. This landmark judgement was welcomed unanimously by all religions and communities in India.

This is the emotion of Indians across the country. We have embarked upon work in this direction. The new simulated model of the Ram mandir is splendidly beautiful and grand and I am delighted to view it. Crores of rupees shall be used for constructing the temple but the truth is that the temple is not being erected with these funds; instead it is an endeavour that involved the sacrifices of thousands of people and revolutionary movements propagated by lacs of others whose struggle as well as efforts have resulted in laying down this foundation stone upon which the temple shall be built.

Lord Ram exemplifies an ideal human being. Ramayana is a scripture that lays down the code of conduct of an ideal human life. Thus perceived, Lord Ram is sacred and venerable for humanity at large. Building a grand temple and installing the mūrti of Lord Ram can by no means be conceived as the fulfilment of material or worldly propensities. It shall instill a feeling of pride and honour in the hearts of crores of Indians. When the beautiful form of Shri Ram is installed within the premises of the divine temple, the darshan shall inspire millions who arrive to view it.

Reciting Ram katha and listening to its glories provide us guidance to how to live the right life. History is being rewritten and our culture and pride are being reinstated with the construction of the temple. Protestors had broken down the temple spreading terror amongst people. Once again, the temple is being built at the very same site and through its construction, the honour and pride of India along with the traditions of the Sanatan Dharma, are being upheld and re-established.
