Ram Katha in Melbourne, Australia

The Shri Ram Katha was held from 24th May to 1st June, 2008. Organised for the first time by Sanskruti Foundation Australia, it was a very successful event and well-attended by devotees from Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Fiji.

The Katha was made possible with seva from a wide range of people including: “yajman’s”, volunteers, excellent catering of prasad, as well as organization and planning by the Trustees of SF Australia. Sanskruti Foundation Australia is a recently founded Trust inspired by Pujya Bhaishri himself.

In between the katha Pujya Bhaishri also had a session for the youth with a walk in a park, a small discourse and question/answer session.

SF-Aus will now also sponsor a trained priest from Sandipani to come and live in Melbourne on an on-going 2-year rotational basis. The priest will conduct pravachan’s, prayers, and carry out a wide range of spiritual activities to meet the needs of the local population.

In addition, a community centre will also be built in Melbourne to satisfy spiritual, social and humanitarian needs as per the principles of Pujya Bhaishri and Sandipani.
