Sandipani Wins at Third Position in State Level Sanskrit Shastriya Competition

Babadeshwar Sanskrit Mahavidyalay at Sandipani Vidyaniketan achieve the third position in the three-day State Level Sanskrit Shastriya competition. The competition was organised by the Gujarat Government and Gujarat Sanskrit Pathshala Shiksha Mandal at Shri Bhagavat Vidyapith, Sola, Ahmedabad from 29th November to 1st December 2018.

382 Rishikumars were present from a total of 33 Sanskrit schools that participated. The competitions included saṃbhāṣan spardhā (conversation), shalākā spardhā (discussions and explanations from memory after thorough and thoughtful study of scriptures) and kanth pāth (by heart) spardhā from 28 scriptures.

24 Rishikumars of Sandipani participated. 3 attained gold medals, 9 won silver medals and 3 achieved bronze medals making not only Sandipani, but also Porbandar District proud. The award was presented by Shri Bhupendrabhai Pandya, a well-known Bhagavat Kathākār.
