Sanskruti Parivar Center in New Jersey, USA organises Akhand Ramayan Paath

On the last Thursday of November and following three days Thanksgiving is celebrated in the US by people of all culture regardless of their national origins to thank God for providing abundance of natural wealth and resources to support family and nation. Sanskruti Parivar organized Akhand Paath of Tulsikrut Ramayan during Thanksgiving to pray and recite glories of Bhagwan Shri Ramchandra. The event took place at the residence of Shri Arvindbhai Patel in Cedar Grove, NJ, USA.

This auspicious event started at noon on Friday and concluded at 3:00 PM on Saturday followed by kirtan and Shri Ramdhun. At the conclusion of the program all devotees meditated for 10 minutes to absorb divine energy and cherish grace of God. After Aarti, all received mahaparsad. More than 30 participants took part in the event. Two devotees namely Induben Parekh and Kiritbhai Shah stayed continuously for 27 hours, while others from 8 to 25 hours. Devotees signed a card seeking blessings from Pujya Bhaishri.

This was the 8th annual Akhand Ramayan Paath event at Sanskruti Parivar Center, New Jersey. When this event first started in 1993 very few devotees were familiar with singing Tulsikrut Ramayan in Avadhi language. Over the years of reading Gujarati translation and many times reciting Sundarkand, accompanied by music, has transformed people to enjoy and understand the meaning of Ramayan. Devotees felt energy that enveloped the mind and soul generated by chanting, praying and meditating in a group.
