Shri Ram Navmi celebrations at Shri Hari Mandir
Lord Shri Ram was born at 12 noon on the ninth day Chaitra month according to the Hindu calendar. This auspicious day fell on Sunday 1st April this year and was celebrated in a grand manner at Shri Hari Mandir.
Firstly, the rishikumars of Sandipani Vidyaniketan harmoniously recited the verses describing the birth of Lord Shri Ram from the Ram Charit Manas. Thereafter, at noon, all devotees and rishikumars celebrated the manifestation of Shri Ram in Shri Hari Mandir. This was followed with the distribution of prasad of panjari, penda and chocolates.
In the evening, devotees performed darshan of Shri Ram Bhagavan’s abhishek (bathe/sprinkle with holy water) on a pond decorated with 108 lotus flowers. The devotees could not take their eyes off from this blissful and eye-catching darshan.
The temples of Shri Hari, Shri Radha Krishna and Shri Karunamayi Maa were decorated with colourful sari fabrics. Also celebrating was Shri Shiv Bhagavan seated in a garden, wearing an elegant turban and providing beautiful darshan to everyone present.
Devotees were so blissful celebrating Shri Ram ji’s birthday and doing the holy darshan of the deities in Shri Hari Mandir, that even Hari Mandir felt small to fit in all the devotees.
Jai Shri Ram!
