Shrimad Bhagavat Katha at Umreth, Nadiyad, combined with service of Clean India Campaign by Pujya Bhaishri

The present religious chief of Santram temple in Umreth, Gujarat, hosted a Shrimad Bhagavat Katha from 26 December 2014 to 3 January 2015 to mark the 154th anniversary of Santram temple and 11th anniversary of the preceding chief of the temple, Brahmaleen Shri Narayandas Swamiji Maharaj.

A grand Shobha Yatra of Shri Bhagavat Pothiji traversed through the streets of Umreth on the morning of the first day of katha. Many devotees participated in this procession with the singing of Hari kirtan enhancing the divinity and spirituality of the occasion. In the cold of the winter, the katha providing serenity, began with the divine blessings of saints and kindling of the auspicious lamp.

Referring to the perpetual flame at Shri Santram temple, Pujya Bhaishri said that the light of the spiritual flame of a spiritualist of highly purified consciousness is spreading all around; we are witnessing the Eternal Truth in this brightness. Bhagavat is a field of devotion. The seeds of love for Shri Krishna are being sowed here. In return, this is being irrigated by the waters of love of Shri Radha Rani. Consequently, the crop that blooms from it is devotion.

The book, Shabd Narayan, was inaugurated by Pujya Bhaishri, which is a compilation of the letters addressed to the devotees by the eighth religious chief, Pujya Narayandasji Maharaj.

Shri Krishna janma, Shri Govardhan Pooja and Shri Rukmini vivah were celebrated with great merriment. The entire katha was broadcast live on Sanskar channel. In addition, various cultural events were held daily from 7pm to 10pm.

One task beloved to Pujya Bhaishri is the Clean India Campaign, of which Pujya Bhaishri is one of the nominated Brand Ambassadors of Gujarat. Hence, one day the people of Umreth joined Pujya Bhaishri to clean up the whole town of Umreth.

Celebrated saints including: Karshni Peethadhishwar Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Shri Gurusharananandji Maharaj, the President of Parmarth Niketan – Param Pujya Shri Muniji and Param Pujya Bhaskar Muniji of Gangeshwardham graced the katha on the concluding day and conveyed their blessings to all.
