The Nation Saluted by Sandipani on Republic Day of India

Sandipani Vidyaniketan at Porbandar celebrated the 70th Republic day of India on 26th January 2019 on the grounds of Shri Hari Mandir.

Present in the celebrations were not only the Rishikumars and Gurukul students, but also, the trustee Shri Bharatbhai Odedra, Dr. Bharatbhai Gadhvi who has been providing his medical service to Sandipani for many years, the principals of Rishikul and Gurukul, Shri Bipinbhai Joshi and Shri Ravi Nayar, respectively, respected teacher Shri Bobdeji and other staff members.

The Gurukul students marched in their respected house uniforms: Gandhi, Nehru, Tilak and Tagore.

The Indian National Flag was hoisted whilst everyone sang the National Anthem. Thereafter, the Rishikumars and Gurukul students presented several speeches as well as sang patriotic songs.

In his speech, Mr. Nair said,

“Freedom in mind, faith in words, pride in our hearts, memories in our souls, let us salute the nation on Republic Day”.

Shri Bipinbhai Joshi described what the duties of a patriot and president should be like. He said that a patriot is one who is always eager and ready to serve the country whereas a president continuously thinks about the country. Our body is also our country in which Gujarat is the lungs.

Respected Shri Bobdeji explained the importance of teachers in our country. He said, “A teacher can never be ordinary because both dissolution and creation nurture in the teacher’s laps.”

This way, Republic day of India was celebrated passionately by all at Sandipani Vidyaniketan in Porbandar.
