On the second day of the spiritual retreat in Mahabaleshwar, Pujya Bhaishri began the morning with a walk combined with singing God’s name followed by a talk on spirituality, love and our inter-personal relationships.

Pujya Bhaishri said that spirituality is about being in love without expectation.

Why? Because love is your very life-air and there is no life within this gross physical body that eats, talks, moves & speaks without love.

How are we to receive this Love? Not by asking for it nor by sympathy; rather, by the union of two hearts as one.

The greater our expectations, the greater our frustrations. As we learn to accept others just as they are and do not expect anyone to change, we progress towards peace. This is just like not expecting sweetness from salt.

A student once approached a spiritual master and said “I want peace”.

The Master replied “That too is a desire- let it go. You must first lose your ‘I’ (ego) and then your ‘want’ (desire) and peace shall be left!”

In the afternoon there was a trip to the local organic strawberry farms, followed by a visit to the namesake Mahabaleshwar Shiv Temple. The evening was concluded with a question and answer session by the spiritual aspirants present followed by an opportunity for one-on-one discussions with Pujya Bhaishri.
