Suicide is not just simply harming oneself physically to die. Suicide is explained as follows in the Shrimad Bhagavat:

We are very fortunate to have attained this precious human body which is difficult to attain even by the demi-gods. Shri Ram Charit Manas says:

Bade bhāga mānua tanu pāvā, sur durlabha sab grathani gāvā
Ehi tana kara phala biaya na bhāī, svargau svalpa ata dukhadāī

Meaning: It is by good fortune that you have secured a human body, which-as declared by all the scriptures-is difficult even for the gods to attain. Sensuous enjoyment, brethren, is not the be-all and end-all of human existence; even heavenly enjoyment is short-lived and ends in sorrow.

We have not become humans by chance.  Thus, who can be more foolish than people who waste this body in addictions and material pleasures. Even animals can do that. Then what is the point of getting this human body if it was only to gain pleasures, eat, drink and be merry?

Even the blossoming of a flower is the outcome of a long journey. Then how can being born as a human be by chance? Getting this human body is an opportunity to achieve our goal.

So you are fortunate to be born as a human being. Next, your life is a luxury cruise liner, a ship, in which you have all the facilities you require. Now, such a ship requires an expert captain. This captain of your life is Sadguru, which you have.

However, if there are extremely rough tides in the ocean, it is difficult for an expert captain to ensure that the ship reaches its destination successfully. However, you don’t even need to worry about the rough tides in your life as God’s grace is with you and time is in your favour. You are happy.

Now in all these favourable circumstances, if one does not desire to emancipate in life or free oneself from the cycle of life and death, God says this is known as suicide.
