Even in ancient times schools used to have two divisions – Academic and Arts. In Arts, students were taught means of livelihood and in Academic, students were taught life skills. We cannot ignore that one has to gain education to earn wealth and fill stomachs. However, children must also be taught that wealth is for people and people are not for wealth. Only those who can come out of the cycle of ‘one should earn to eat and eat to earn’ can enjoy the true joy of life.
